Nippon Labs 12AWG Outdoor Power Extension Cord, Red 25ft, SJTW 15A 125V

A heavy-duty 25 ft outdoor extension cord for saws, compressors, pressure washers, heaters and other job-site equipment. The 12-gauge, three-conductor pure-copper cable is rated for the full 15 A / 1875 W of a standard household circuit with less voltage drop than lighter 14 or 16 AWG cords, and the SJTW jacket is rated for outdoor and wet-location use.

What SJTW means

The jacket code on a cord tells you where it can be used: S is a hard-service flexible cord, J means a junior (300 V) jacket, T is thermoplastic, and W is the outdoor, weather-resistant rating. A cord without the W is for indoor use only.

Good to know

Match the cord to the tool: a 12 AWG cord is the right choice for anything that draws close to 15 A, such as a circular saw or air compressor, and for any 25 ft or longer run where thinner cords would sag under load.
