FAQ

Is Cat6 enough, or do I need Cat6A? Cat6 carries full Gigabit at any length up to 100 meters and handles 10 Gigabit up to about 55 meters. If you are wiring 10 Gigabit across a large building, choose Cat6A instead.

What does booted mean? The molded boot over each RJ45 plug keeps the locking tab from catching on other cables when you pull a bundle, which is the usual way patch cable plugs get broken.

Does the color affect performance? No. Every color is the same cable inside. Color is only for tracing and organizing runs.

Will it work with PoE? Yes. The 24 AWG bare copper conductors carry PoE and PoE+ for cameras and access points.

Buying more than a few?

The same cable is available in 10-packs in most colors, which works out cheaper per cable for wiring a whole office or rack.
