This cable connects a DisplayPort output on your computer or graphics card to a DisplayPort input on your monitor, with the same full size DisplayPort plug on both ends. It carries the same 8K signal as our standard DisplayPort 1.4 cable, built in a braided jacket with aluminum connector housings. It is for a desk where the cable gets seen, moved and handled rather than hidden behind a wall mount.

FAQ

What is the latch for? DisplayPort connectors have a small spring catch that locks into the socket so the cable cannot fall out on its own. Press the release button on the connector before pulling it, or you risk damaging the port.

What do the braided jacket and aluminum housing add? They address the two ways a display cable usually dies. The braid resists the fraying and split jacketing that come from repeated bending, being pulled around a desk leg or pinched behind furniture. The aluminum housing holds the connector rigid, so the plug does not develop the wobble that causes intermittent signal after a desk has been rearranged a few times. The picture quality is the same as the standard version; the difference is how long it survives handling.

Is this only available in 6 ft? Yes, this braided version is a single 6 ft length. If you need 3 ft, 10 ft or 15 ft, our standard DisplayPort 1.4 VESA certified cable carries the same 8K signal.
