FAQ

What is the latch for? DisplayPort connectors have a small spring catch that locks into the socket so the cable cannot fall out on its own. Press the release button on the connector before pulling it, or you risk damaging the port.

What does VESA certified actually mean? It means this cable was submitted to VESA, the standards body behind DisplayPort, and tested against the DisplayPort 1.4 requirements. Most cables on the market are only self declared by the seller. That testing is the difference between a cable that holds an 8K signal and one that drops out, flickers or falls back to a lower resolution once you push it.

Do I need HDR support on both ends? The cable carries HDR, but your source and your monitor both have to support it for HDR to appear. The cable will not add it on its own.
