FAQ

Does a fast charging cable also mean fast data? Not usually. Many USB-C cables charge at high wattage but move data at USB 2.0 speed, which is 480Mbps. This cable is rated for both, so it will not be the bottleneck when you copy from an external SSD.

What is 240W EPR? EPR stands for Extended Power Range, the newer and higher USB Power Delivery level that covers high draw laptops and portable monitors that older 100W cables could not fully feed. With an ordinary charger the cable falls back safely to whatever lower wattage that charger offers, so there is no downside to the higher rating.

Do I need the e-marker? For high wattage, yes. It tells the charger and device what the cable can carry so the full rating is negotiated rather than the pair defaulting to a cautious trickle.
