FAQ

Does a fast charging cable also mean fast data? Not usually. Many USB-C cables charge at high wattage but move data at USB 2.0 speed, which is 480Mbps. This cable is rated for both, so it will not be the bottleneck when you copy from an external SSD.

Why is it only one meter? 40Gbps is the top USB4 data rate, and it is what docking stations and external NVMe enclosures need to run at full speed. Shorter lengths are normal at this speed because the signal is harder to hold over distance, so a one meter cable is how you get the full rate reliably.

Will it charge my laptop too? Yes, up to 240W USB PD EPR, which covers high draw laptops. With a lower wattage charger it simply negotiates down to what that charger provides.
