A 1000 ft box of blue slim Cat6 bulk cable: 28 AWG stranded bare copper, four twisted pairs around a spline separator, unshielded (UTP), CM-rated jacket, tested to 550 MHz. Stranded and slim means it is made for building your own patch cords and for feeding cable through tight, congested paths — not for long horizontal runs inside a wall.

MINI CAT 6 UTP STRANDED ETHERNET BULK CABLE, Blue COLOR

  • Cat6 stranded bulk cable is perfect for making custom length patch cables.
  • Stranded copper conductor.
  • Our Cat6 cables are certified to handle Gigabit Ethernet.
  • 100% pure copper wires are compliant with ANSI/TIA-568.2-D standard by UL and ETL.
  • RoHS compliant.
Conductor : 28 AWG stranded bare copper
Cable Assembly : 4 twisted pairs with a spline core separator
Cable Color : Blue Color

What it's for

  • Making custom-length blue patch cords so a rack or a desk has no coiled slack.
  • Densely populated patch panels, where 28 AWG cable roughly halves the bundle diameter of 24 AWG.
  • Threading through crowded conduit, cable trays, raised floors and furniture spines.
  • Colour-coding a network by function — voice, data, management, camera — with a matching reel per colour.

Good to know

Why stranded rather than solid?
Stranded conductors flex without work-hardening, which is what a patch cord needs. Solid conductors are for permanent horizontal runs that get terminated into a keystone jack or punch-down block and then left alone. This reel is stranded, so it belongs on the patch-cord side.

How long can a 28 AWG patch cord be?
Thin conductors have higher DC resistance than 24 AWG, so cabling standards derate the permitted patch-cord length when 28 AWG is used, and the reduction is taken out of your total channel budget. Treat slim cable as a short-run product — a few metres at each end of a link — rather than a replacement for the horizontal cable itself.

What does the CM rating mean?
CM is the general-purpose flame rating. It is fine for open runs and inside equipment rooms, but it is not rated for a riser shaft (CMR) or for a plenum air-handling space (CMP). Local code decides which you must use.

Is it good for PoE?
Thin conductors carry more heat per watt, so 28 AWG is not the right choice for long PoE runs or tightly packed PoE bundles. Use standard 23/24 AWG cable for the powered horizontal run and keep slim cable for short patches.

Is it really pure copper?
Yes — 100% bare copper, compliant with ANSI/TIA-568.2-D and ETL verified. Copper-clad aluminium cable is cheaper, more brittle and carries less power; this is not that.
