Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering & Shipping

How fast will my order ship?

Orders are processed and shipped from our US warehouse within 1–3 business days — usually sooner. You'll get a tracking number by email the moment it ships. See our full Shipping Policy.

How much is shipping?

Shipping options and rates are calculated at checkout based on your address and cart. Add your items to the cart and enter your address to see exact costs before paying.

Can I change my address after ordering?

If your order hasn't shipped yet, email contact@nipponlabs.com right away with your order number and we'll do our best to update it. Once a package ships, we can't reroute it.

Returns & Support

What's your return policy?

You have 30 days from delivery to return unused items in their original packaging. Defective or incorrectly shipped items are replaced or refunded at no cost to you. Full details in our Refund Policy.

My cable arrived damaged or doesn't work — what now?

Email contact@nipponlabs.com with your order number, a short description, and a photo if possible. We'll send a replacement or issue a full refund.

Choosing the Right Cable

Which Ethernet category do I need — Cat6, Cat6A or Cat8?

For most homes and offices, Cat6 handles 1G everywhere and 10G over shorter runs; Cat6A carries 10G a full 100 meters; Cat8 is for short, high-throughput links in racks and server rooms (40G up to 30 m). Our guide Cat6 vs Cat6a: Which Do You Actually Need? breaks it down.

What do CM, CMR, CMP, CL2 and CL3 ratings mean?

They're fire-safety jacket ratings that determine where a cable can legally be installed — in walls, risers, or air-handling plenum spaces. Read Cable Fire Ratings Explained before running cable through walls or ceilings.

Do you sell certified cables?

Yes — we stock VESA-certified DisplayPort 1.4, Ultra High Speed certified HDMI 2.1, ETL-verified bulk Ethernet, and UL/cUL-listed power cords. Certifications are listed on each product page.

Which HDMI cable do I need for a long run?

Passive copper HDMI is reliable to about 25 ft at full bandwidth; beyond that, look at active or CL3-rated in-wall options. See What HDMI Cable Do You Need for a Long Run?

Bulk & Business Orders

Do you offer bulk or volume pricing?

We stock 1000 ft bulk spools and multi-packs. For large-quantity or recurring orders, email contact@nipponlabs.com and we'll take care of you.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, and the other payment options shown at checkout.
