A CL3 rated 4K HDMI cable in 30 ft and 35 ft lengths, built on thicker 26 AWG copper for runs that are too long for a standard cable. It carries the full 18Gbps of HDMI 2.0 for 4K at 60Hz with HDR, and supports ARC back to a soundbar. The heavier conductor is the whole point at this distance.

FAQ

What does the in wall rating mean? CL2 and CL3 rated jackets are approved to be run inside a wall. CL3 carries the higher voltage rating of the two. If the cable instead has to pass through an air return space above a drop ceiling or under a raised floor, code calls for a plenum rated cable, and our active optical HDMI range covers that.

Which conductor gauge do I need? A lower AWG number means thicker copper, which holds the signal over a longer run. As a rule of thumb, 28 AWG is fine for short desk and rack lengths, 26 AWG for medium runs, and 24 AWG for the longest passive copper runs. Past about 50 ft, an active optical cable is the more reliable choice.

Why 26 AWG at this length? The step up from 28 AWG to 26 AWG is what keeps 4K at 60Hz with HDR intact at 30 ft to 35 ft. On a thinner cable at this distance the picture may drop back to 30Hz, sparkle, or flicker in and out instead of holding a clean image.
