A plenum-rated (CMP) active optical HDMI 2.0 cable for long runs through ceilings, raised floors and air-handling spaces where building code requires plenum cable. Fiber carries the video signal, so 4K at 60Hz with HDR holds all the way out to 150 ft, far past where passive copper HDMI gives out.

Installation notes

Active optical cables are directional. Connect the end marked Source to your player, PC or switcher and the end marked Display to the TV or projector. Pull by the cable jacket, not the connectors, and avoid kinking the cable tighter than a fist-sized bend.

FAQ

Plenum or CL3? Choose CMP plenum for runs through air-return spaces above drop ceilings or under raised floors. For in-wall runs in homes and most offices, our CL3-rated active optical HDMI cable costs less.

Does it need external power? No. It draws the small amount of power it needs from the HDMI port.
